A hospital standby system has to do more than start. It must transfer within the limits defined by IEC 60364-7-710 for medical locations, keep voltage deviation inside ±10 %, and stay quiet enough for a ward to sleep next to it.
We work with MEP consultants and biomedical engineers from the design stage, providing load calculations, single-line diagrams and acoustic reports for the tender package.

From load schedule to commissioning in healthcare
The same three stages run on every order, whatever the configuration: engineering before the quotation, a documented load test before packing, and support after the set is on site.
Step 01
Engineering and sizing
Load schedule, starting currents, ambient and altitude derating are worked through before a rating is proposed — the alternator is sized for the largest step, not the average.
Step 02
Factory build and load test
Assembly, wiring and paint in one works, then a four-point load bank run at 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 % with the test sheet serial-numbered to the set.
Step 03
Shipping, commissioning and support
Export packing, documentation and commissioning guidance, with spare-parts supply and remote diagnosis for the life of the installation.

The brief
The hospital's existing standby fleet was sized on paper figures. The facilities team wanted the replacement scheme proven against the building's actual demand before anyone signed the handover.
What we supplied
Three containerised sets carrying theatres and critical care, with the changeover sequence proven against the hospital's own load profile before handover — not against a lab figure.
On site today
The changeover has since been exercised on the real load, and the facilities team holds the test records for their accreditation file.
