Privacy Policy

What information this website collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

This policy explains how Cunmi handles personal information when you visit our website, send an enquiry or place an order.

1. Who we are

Cunmi Power (Cunmi) designs, assembles and exports diesel generator sets. We are based at Mingfeng Fortune Center, Siming District, Xiamen, Fujian, China, and we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Questions about privacy can be sent to cunmiwy@gmail.com.

2. Information you give us

When you submit an enquiry, request a data sheet or a quotation, or write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to send. For a generator enquiry this typically includes your name, company, country, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and the technical information you provide — required output, duty, voltage and frequency, site conditions, fuel and enclosure preferences.

When an order is placed we also hold the commercial and shipping details needed to fulfil it, such as billing and delivery addresses and contact persons for logistics.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting records the pages requested, the time of the request, the browser and device type, the referring page and an approximate location derived from the IP address. We use this in aggregate to keep the site available and to understand which pages are useful. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Session analytics. We also run Microsoft Clarity on this site to understand how visitors use it — which pages are read, how far people scroll and where clicks land. Clarity masks every character typed into form fields, never captures passwords or personal details, and does not identify individual visitors. We review the data only in aggregate, to improve the layout and content of the site. For details of how Microsoft handles this data, see Microsoft's privacy statement.

4. Why we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a sized recommendation and quotation.
  • To supply, test, ship and support the equipment you order.
  • To keep the commercial, tax and export records that Chinese law requires us to keep.
  • To maintain the security and performance of this website.
  • To send you information you have asked for, and to follow up on an enquiry that you started.

We do not sell personal information. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and every message we send tells you how to stop receiving them.

5. Legal bases for visitors in the EU and UK

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent when you submit a form or subscribe to updates; the performance of a contract when we quote for, supply or service equipment; our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and keeping the site secure; and legal obligation for tax, customs and export records.

6. Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and only with: the engine, alternator and component manufacturers and freight forwarders involved in fulfilling your order; providers of our hosting, email and IT services; Microsoft, as processor for the Clarity session-analytics tool described in section 3; professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers; and public authorities where the law requires it.

Where a partner needs the information to build or ship your set, we pass on the minimum required — for example the rating, voltage and delivery address — rather than your whole enquiry.

7. International transfers

We operate from China and work with suppliers and logistics partners in several countries. Your information may therefore be stored or processed outside the country you write to us from. Where the law requires it, we put contractual safeguards in place for those transfers.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, so that we can pick up a project that was paused. Records connected to an order — invoices, shipping documents, test reports — are kept for the period required by Chinese accounting and export rules. After that they are deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use. Write to cunmiwy@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the data-protection authority in your country.

10. Security

Access to enquiry and order data is limited to the staff who need it. The site is served over TLS, and our hosting and email providers apply their own security controls. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please tell us immediately if you suspect that information you sent us has been misused.

11. Children

This website is intended for business buyers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on this page.
