Each item below can be supplied as a document reference or scanned copy for tender documentation.
CE marking to the Machinery Directive and the applicable harmonised standards for generating sets.
Generating set performance classes G1 to G4, defined and verified by test, including load acceptance and transient behaviour.
Quality management certification applied across manufacturing, inspection and, specifically, the load bank product line.
Packages prepared for DNV survey for oilfield and offshore duty, with the documentation pack supplied for the classification review.
Low-emission line covering China Stage 3 and Euro Stage 3 requirements at 50 Hz.
Type approval to EU Regulation 2016/1628 Stage V, offered as a dedicated low-emission product line.
US EPA Tier 4 Final configuration for non-road compression-ignition engines.
Container packages supplied with Container Safety Convention approval for international transport.
ISO 8528 is the international standard that defines how a generating set performs when the load changes. It is the single most useful standard for a specifier, because it describes behaviour under real conditions rather than at a steady state.
Part 5 of the standard defines four performance classes — G1, G2, G3 and G4 — based on the maximum step load the set must accept and the transient deviation permitted. A set sold as "500 kVA" tells you nothing about whether it will hold a data centre UPS through a transformer inrush. A set specified as "500 kVA, G3" does.
| G1 | Basic applications — gradual load changes, voltage and frequency deviation not critical. |
|---|---|
| G2 | General commercial standby — lighting, pumps, HVAC. The default class. |
| G3 | 70 % single-step load acceptance. Data centres, hospitals, industrial process lines. |
| G4 | Applications demanding the tightest transient response available. |
Always state the class. When you enquire, tell us which ISO 8528 performance class the application requires. We will confirm that the selected engine and alternator combination meets it, and we will prove it on the load bank before the set leaves the factory.

Each stage has a documented acceptance criterion and a named sign-off. A set cannot advance until the previous stage has been released.
Engines, alternators and key components are inspected against the purchase specification and released only on documented acceptance.
Coupling, alignment, wiring and piping are completed to a written build standard and signed off station by station.
Four-point load bank test at 25 %, 50 %, 75 % and 100 % load. Results are recorded and issued with the set.
Seven-stage pre-treatment and powder coating to the specified paint system, with dry-film thickness verified.
Export packing with protection, desiccant and a complete documentation pack including the test certificate.
Recorded voltage, frequency, load and temperature data from the four-point load bank test.
CE declaration of conformity and emission type-approval reference for the applicable standard.
Operation and maintenance manual, wiring diagram, spare-parts list and commissioning checklist.
Tell us which documents your tender requires and we will send the relevant certificate scans and type-approval references.
